Hiatus

So, it's been a while, quite a while, since a post has appeared in this space.  Let me catch you up!

Abby and I traveled to Texas, and we were SO excited to see and spend time with Tracii!  We went to a GREAT show at the Children's Theater!  Then, I got sick, with the flu.  I spent the rest of the time, pretty much in bed.  I'd like to thank Traci for taking care of me, and my Abby.  We still had some laughs, but I was definitely NOT myself.  In fact, I only started feeling at 100% over this past weekend! 

So, I will take this opportunity to say thanks to my dear friends, the Tracii (that's right there are TWO of them!) for helping me out with Abs and letting me sleep, which according to the doctor, was the best thing for me.

President's Day

Well, happy President's Day, all of you Toadies out there!  Today started out busy, and then turned wonderfully lazy.  Now we are all snuggled up inside waiting for a snowfall of about 3 inches overnight.  I am so ready for this winter to be over, and for the summer to begin. 

There were no adventures today, even thought I was off work for the holiday.  Abby and I had a great day together, and I got some tests out of the way, healthwise.  We can hardly wait for the next few days to pass so that we can travel to TX to see everyone!

Watch this space - next weekend there will be posts describing our adventures in TX, and a review of "The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs" and "Gnomeo and Juliet".  We are also thinking of having an Oscar party on Sunday night, and requesting that everyone attending dress as their favorite Oscar-winning movie.  That's right!  Not just a character, but as the MOVIE.  Should be interesting!!!

Hello friends and Happy Sunday!

It's been a fun and fabulous weekend so far and I wanted to share with you my Saturday night. Me and my friend Julie, and my husband, Marcelo, and his friend, Adereito, went to the Professional Bull Riders "Iron Cowboy" event at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. There were lots of festivities going on outside and here was one of the main attractions. Anyway, this is Oliver (not the person, but the bull). Isn't he fabulous? I love his horns!!!

Later inside, Julie and I enjoyed the scenery from our seats. Marcelo and his friend met up with us later after finally getting into the venue(they thought they didn't need tickets..haha..) We then enjoyed a concert from Toby Keith followed by some mighty fine bull riding and a couple of BIG and STRONG margaritas! We all went to IHOP afterwards and got home around 1 am. We had so much fun. We hardly ever get to go out anymore since having Mikayla..so we took full advantage!

Oh.. I almost forgot. My neice, Renata won 2nd place in the mutton bustin' competition that was during intermission. She did a fantastic job and really hung on to the wool!! Go Renata!!

Now it's Sunday and i'm doing 1 million loads of laundry and trying to relax in between. Marcelo was a jewel and got up with Mikayla and I slept til 10 am!! That felt great! He also cleaned the kitchen and cooked a scrumptious T-Bone lunch with all the fixins and then cleaned the kitchen again..LOL

Hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend. Back to work tomorrow...YUCK. 5 more days til my guests start to arrive!!! yea!!

Birthday Party

Today is Abby's birthday party!  We are excited to be at The Expressive Hand (www.expressivehand.com) to paint some pottery and hang out with friends. 

In other news, it's so windy here in Philly that our dog blew away!  (not really, but he could've!)  I hope your Saturday is fantastic, and that I am not covered in paint by the end of the day.  Only 7 more days until our trip to TEXAS!!

Irish Dance

Desktop Friends

Well, well, well.  I didn't realize we were doing introductions today, but I know you will want to meet my desktop friend, as well.  Presenting Duchess Bunnyfingers!  I know, I know, she hasn't any fingers.  However, you can't deny that she is a Duchess!  From her feathery ears to her frilly toes, she is a lady, through and through.

Truth be told, she was a gift from Traci (Mikayla's Mom), and I just adore her.  She brings a little light to each and every day.  What brings you inspiration during your long day at work?  Please share in the comment section!
